Ruslan has 12 years of international experience in investment sector, as well as in business development and start ups. Prior to DealBoom, Ruslan co-founded DeNovo, a Geneva based innovative alliance of small investment banking firms operating in Russia, Kazakhstan and Georgia. He was also founding team member at TuranAlem Securities (btas.kz), small investment banking firm, which grew into one of the largest investment banking businesses in Central Asia. In early 2000s Ruslan started up and developed innovative distance learning programme for KIMEP (leading business school in Kazakhstan, kimep.kz).

Ruslan participated in chain of landmarking and pioneering transactions, such as number of M&A deals in 13 former Soviet Union countries, domestic bonds and eurobonds issues.

He sits as independent member of recommendations committee at the Kazakhstan Growth Fund (kgf.kz), an USD 80 mln private equity fund, co-financed by European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (ebrd.com) and Kazyna Capital Management (kcm-kazyna.kz), sovereign fund of funds. He also acts as advisor to the boards or principal shareholders at Arna Petroleum (small oil & gas company) and YUNOS, mini-refinery start up in Central Asia.

Currently Ruslan focuses on DealBoom (dealboom.co) – his start up – an innovative project market place and deal management solution available on-demand. At DealBoom, Ruslan mainly focuses on general concept and business development, team building and user interface / user experience.

Ruslan holds bachelor degree in geology and an MBA. He loves music, enjoys snowboarding, bicycling, travelling around the globe, likes analytical psychology, design and architecture.
